The French Kicks are:

Matt Stinchcomb: Guitar/Vocals
Jamie Krents: Bass
Nick Stumpf: Drums/Vocals
Josh Wise: Guitar/Vocals

Formed in New York in the spring of 1998, the French Kicks attempt to strip down sound through angular motions ripe with rhythm and rooted in melody. Their songs are set apart by the vocal interplay between 3/4 of the band, who split up the lead vocal duties and at times share the center-mic with nontraditional vocal blends. The French Kicks' first recording, a four song Cd5, was released on October 4th, 1999. A new six song French Kicks Ep called "Young Lawyer" was released in November 2000 on Brooklyn, NY's Startime Records.
